Car rental website for Hyderabad with instant pricing and an owner dashboard

The problem
Most rent a car businesses in Pakistan still run on phone calls and WhatsApp. A customer asks for the rate, waits for a reply, then asks again about fuel, driver charges and the Karachi airport fare, and many give up and call the next company. Owners have the opposite problem: bookings sit in chat threads and notebooks, so it is hard to see which car is free and what the business earned this week. The goal was a website that answers the price question before the customer has to ask, and gives the owner one place to manage the work.

What was built
Instant price widget on the homepage
Visitors choose a service, a car and a date from the first screen and get a price in seconds, instead of waiting for a reply.
Four services in one booking flow
City pick and drop by the hour or day, Hyderabad to Karachi airport transfers on the M-9, wedding and event cars with flower decoration, and self-drive rental with a security deposit.
Fleet with filters and car detail pages
Six local favourites, from Suzuki Mehran to Honda Civic. Customers filter by size, gearbox and self-drive, and each car has its own page with every rate listed.
Booking page with live price calculation
The total updates as the customer changes hours, days, round trip, number of wedding cars or decoration. Phone numbers are checked against the Pakistani mobile format.
WhatsApp-ready booking message
The request is written for the customer with service, car, date, pickup area, flight number and total. On a live business site it opens WhatsApp addressed to the owner; the demo shows a preview.
Owner dashboard
Weekly revenue chart, fleet status for each car and driver, and a bookings table with status filters, search and one-click actions to confirm, start or complete a trip.

How it was built
The demo went from plan to live deploy in one day. A clear scope, with no database and no login, made that possible.
- Plan: services, car list, pricing rules and pages, based on how rent a car businesses in Hyderabad take bookings.
- Design: a visual identity drawn from Sindhi ajrak, with indigo, madder red and saffron, so it doesn't look like a generic template.
- Build: pages, reusable components, pricing logic and the dashboard in Next.js and TypeScript.
- Test: production build, ESLint, and screenshot checks on desktop and a 390px phone screen.
- Deploy: pushed to GitHub and deployed on Vercel.
Speed, SEO and accessibility decisions
- No database in the demo. Cars, prices and sample bookings live in TypeScript files, so the site never goes down and costs nothing to host.
- Static pages. The homepage, fleet and every car page are generated at build time, so they load fast on mobile data.
- Accessible by default: real form labels, keyboard focus styles, clear validation messages and reduced motion respected.
- The demo is set to noindex so it is never mistaken for a real rental company in Google.
What a real client version adds
For a real rent a car business, the same site can be connected to a database and owner login, send booking alerts by WhatsApp or SMS, take advance payments for weddings through JazzCash or Easypaisa, and add Urdu and Sindhi pages. That version is scoped and quoted per business, because the right features depend on fleet size and how bookings are handled today.
Common questions
Who built the Indus Drive car rental website?
It was designed and developed by Muhammad Zubair Abid of MZA Dev, a web developer based in Hyderabad, Pakistan, who has been building websites since 2019.
Is Indus Drive a real rent a car company?
No. Indus Drive is a portfolio demo that shows what a car rental website can do. The design, booking flow and dashboard are real and can be built for an actual business.
Can you build a car rental website for my city?
Yes. The cars, services, pickup areas and prices are all editable, so the same system works for Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad or any other city, in Pakistan or abroad.
Can customers book a rental car through WhatsApp?
Yes. The booking page writes the full request, including car, date, pickup and price, and opens WhatsApp addressed to the owner, which is how most Pakistani customers prefer to book.
How much does a car rental website cost in Pakistan?
It depends on the features. A booking website without a database costs less than one with owner login, online payments and SMS alerts. Send your requirements and you get a fixed quote before any work starts.
